Vol. 473 No. 5

Written Answers. - Travel Costs.

Mary O'Rourke

Ceist:

92 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Health if he will request the relevant health board to review the case of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath who seeks assistance with the travel costs associated with her visits to a hospital in Dublin for intensive treatment. [1927/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of assistance with travel costs for eligible persons in County Westmeath is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance, I have asked the chief executive officer of the Midland Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
