Vol. 474 No. 1

Written Answers. - Roaring Water Bay (Cork) Project.

Joe Walsh

Ceist:

186 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Marine if his attention has been drawn to the proposal to reduce the length of the pier at Roaring Water Bay, County Cork, by 30 feet in view of the fact that this proposal will make the pier useless; the steps, if any, he will take to have this proposal reversed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2471/97]

I understand that a very constructive meeting to discuss the Roaring Water Bay project was held last week between the consulting engineer, Cork County Council and local interests. I am advised that all concerned are now satisfied with the proposal.
