Written Answers. - Road Accident Statistics.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that statistics regarding road traffic accidents are not compiled by them in such a way as to readily provide the details which the Deputy requests.
Statistics in relation to all road traffic accidents reported to the Garda authorities are forwarded directly by the Garda to the National Roads Authority. A detailed annual report on road accidents statistics entitled "Road Accident Facts" is prepared and published by that Authority.
