Ceist:25 Dr. Moffatt asked the Minister for Justice the number of reported crimes which remain undetected in the Dublin metropolitan area and country in each of the years 1995 and 1996. [5457/97]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that information in relation to detection rates is published in the Garda Commissioner's annual report on crime, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. The report for 1996 will be published later this year.
