138 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of his staff from the grades of clerical assistant and clerical officer based in Cork who are seeking a transfer back to Dublin; the number normally transferred per year; and if this trend is expected to continue. [7131/97]
At present, three clerical assistants based in the Department's Cork office have made applications for transfer to Dublin. There are no clerical officers based in the Department's Cork office seeking such transfer at this time. There were no transfers of clerical staff from the Department's Cork office to Dublin in recent years and a significant change in this position is not anticipated.
