178 Mr. L. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Education when site development and building work will commence on the sports hall at Grange community college, Donaghmede, Dublin 13; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7650/97]
The present position is that the architectural planning for the proposed physical education hall at Grange community college, Donaghemede, Dublin 13 is proceeding and the planning and building unit of my Department is examining the outline sketch scheme. When the scheme has been found to be satisfactory, the project will proceed to the next stage of planning which is the developed sketch scheme.
The project will continue to be accorded a high priority in my Department and every effort will be made to ensure that the planning of the project is completed as quickly as possible. At this stage, it is not possible to say when construction will commence.
