200 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding the proposed refurbishment of Aughacashla national school, Castle Gregory, County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7756/97]
The architectural planning for the proposed building project at Aughacashla national school, County Kerry, is complete and the documentation required to invite tenders has also been prepared.
Due to budgetary constraints, it was not possible to include all deserving building schemes in my Department's first round of projects which were allowed to proceed to tender stage recently. I will be keeping expenditure on the primary school building programme under review and Aughacashla will receive every consideration at the appropriate time.
