Vol. 476 No. 5

Written Answers - Grant Payments.

Joe Jacob

Ceist:

241 Mr. Jacob asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a forestry premium has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7441/97]

The person named is an applicant under the scheme of compensatory allowances in respect of forestry, and payments under the scheme are subject to a maximum of £3,762.00, which includes any payment made under the cattle, sheep, goat and equines headage scheme. As the combined headage grants payable to the person named exceeded £3,762.00, no forestry headage grants are due.
