Vol. 476 No. 5

Written Answers - Tax Yield.

Tom Kitt

Ceist:

62 Mr. T. Kitt asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement on the amount of revenue collected from the recently abolished property tax; and the amount which was paid in overtime to process the payments made. [7428/97]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the yield from residential property tax is as follows:—

1984

1.1

1985

2.1

It is not possible, without disproportionate effort and cost, to isolate the definitive overtime cost in respect of the collection of residential property tax.
