Limerick East): Outline proposals for a scheme of upgrading and refurbishing this hospital were received in my Department in early 1995. Subsequently these proposals were the subject of discussions between my Department and the hospital authorities. This plan for the development of Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital is now among the top priorities in the capital programme for future developments.
