134 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for the Environment if he will approve as a matter of urgency the sewerage scheme for Knock, County Mayo, in view of the problems being caused by the lack of infrastructure to the potential development of the town. [8494/97]

A preliminary report for the Knock sewerage scheme is with my Department at present but, having regard to the existing high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve the scheme.
