140 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment when the brief to prepare a preliminary report for an augmentation water supply (details supplied) was submitted to his Department; the reason for the delay in approval; when he will approve the application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A brief for the Carrickmacross water supply augmentation scheme was submitted to my Department in February 1995. However, having regard to the existing high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve the proposal.
