Written Answers. - Mobile Telephones.
The total cost of call charges of mobile telephones in 1996 was £60,263 and this is estimated at about £90,000 for 1997.
The purchase costs of mobile telephones was £20,000 in 1996 and are estimated at £32,000 in 1997. Mobile telephones are supplied for official business purposes to officers of the Department who need to keep in contact while they are out of the office.
