200 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry his views on the adjustments, if any, which will be made to agricultural spending under the structural funds in view of the forthcoming mid-term review of the funds; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8381/97]
Under the Community Support Framework for Ireland, 1994-99, and the nine operational programmes are now being reviewed at the mid-term stage. The reviews remain confidential as the recommendations made for each programme have to be considered in the context of the overall CSF review which is still taking place. Decisions on any reallocations of resources are expected to be made at the July meeting of the CSF monitoring committee.
