Limerick East): Appointments to State boards under the aegis of the Department of Health are made on the basis of statutory constraints, the appropriate qualifications and the need to ensure as wide a variety of relevant interests as possible are represented. Records are not maintained in respect of the county of origin of persons appointed to State boards.
