Ceist:

108 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Education the estimated cost of staff in her ministerial offices, such as programme managers, advisers, support staff and other such related costs for 1997; and the comparative figures for 1993 and 1987. [9319/97]

The total salary costs for the programme managers advisers and support staff attached to my office for the years 1987, 1993 and the estimated costs for 1997 are contained in the following table:

Salary cost is the main component of the cost of the staff in question. It is not feasible to realistically apportion accommodation and incidential expenses to individuals as much of the data is not recorded on a specific personal basis.
