Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Keaveney — the urgent need for classroom assistants to be appointed to the Special Pilot Unit of Scoil Iosagáin, Buncrana, County Donegal; (2) Deputy Flaherty — the application from Dublin City University for funding towards the cost of developing sports facilities on the St. Clare lands; (3) Deputy Ó Cuív — an gá atá ann go gcuirfear seomra breise le Scoil Náisúnta na Tulaí i mBaile na hAbhann, Conamara, in ionad an tseomra réamhdhéanta atá ann agus a abhfuil fíor-dhroch-chaoi air; (4) Deputy Hugh Byrne — the necessity for an extension to Bridgetown Vocational Education College, County Wexford; (5) Deputy Joe Walsh — the provision of adequate patrol vessels to provide for the safety of fishermen off the south west coast; (6) Deputy Flanagan — the need for the Government to prepare a plan for the protection and restoration of the recently discovered Viking for of Dunrally in County Laois; (7) Deputy Lenihan — the issue of temporary accommodation for the provision of a multi-denominational school in the Lucan area of Dublin; (8) Deputy Frances Fitzgerald — the disturbing revelations regarding child care centres and the need for monitoring and inspection; (9) Deputy Quill — the number of local authorities who have already installed, or are in the process of installing, water meters in domestic houses, the number of houses in respect of which water meters are already in place and whether the cost of the installation of such meters is provided for in the Estimate of the Department of the Environment; (10) Deputy O'Donoghue — the circumstances whereby a person convicted of three cases of manslaughter and wanted in England was able to live freely in this country for the past two years; (11) Deputy Gallagher (Laoighis-Offaly)— the threatened closure and job losses at Atlantic Mills, Tullamore, County Offaly.

The matters raised by Deputies Keaveney, Ó Cuív, Lenihan and O'Donoghue have been selected for discussion.
