11 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment if he will report on his review promised some time ago of the onus of duty and care between local authorities and tenants; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1520/97]
I have no proposals to review or amend the law in this matter. However, as indicted in the reply to Question No. 93 of 31 October 1996, any specific proposals put forward by a local authority in this connection will be examined in the light of the complex legal issues that arise.
