259 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he has received an application from the Transport Museum Society of Ireland for assistance towards the development of the museum; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10682/97]

My Department has recently received an application from the Transport Museum Society of Ireland for financial assistance towards the development of the museum. Unfortunately, there are no funds at the Department's disposal which could be allocated in support of a project of this kind.
