139 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason tuberculosis reactors were left in the herd of a person (details supplied) in County Cork without disposal; and if he will make a statement on his Department's policy in relation to this herd. [11080/97]
I understand that in this case additional time was needed to carry out an examination procedure in regard to five animals tuberculin tested in mid-February 1997. The five animals concerned were subsequently slaughtered on 3 April 1997. The position relating to this case remains under examination at present.
