Ceist:

249 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice the persons appointed by her to boards under the aegis of her Department since January 1995; and the number of vacancies currently remaining to be filled or due to fall vacant in the near future. [12679/97]

Minister for Justice (Mrs. Owen)

Information on the present membership of the boards is set out in my replies to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 185 of 5 March 1976 (Official Report Volume 475, columns 1843 to 1856) and No. 154 of 1 May 1997. One further appointment has since been made as follows:

A single vacancy remains to be filled on the Loughan House Visiting Committee. The term of office for the Censorship of Films Appeal Board expires on 28 May 1997.

The Deputy may wish to note that I have not included details of appointees made to boards who have completed their term of office, or who are deceased or have resigned.
