111 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason suitable school transport has not been provided for a person with special needs (details supplied) in County Offaly; the action, if any, he will take to remedy the situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that arrangements have been made for suitable transport for the pupil in question.

I understand that the transport will be available from Thursday, 2 October and that Bus Éireann has contacted the child's parents to advise them of details of the service.
