Vol. 481 No. 4

Written Answers. - National Lottery.

Gerry Reynolds

Ceist:

121 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Finance the number of retail and post office outlets in each county which are currently selling national lottery tickets and cards; the plans, if any, there are to increase the numbers of outlets in any county; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16179/97]

The National Lottery Company has informed me that the number of retail and post office outlets which are currently selling lottery tickets and cards is 3,582. There are minor fluctuations in this figure each month due to shops being sold, taken over etc. There are no plans at present to increase this number.

The details of a county-by-county basis follows. The geographic spread of agencies is a matter for commercial decision by the National Lottery Company.
