250 Mr. D. Carey asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the appalling conditions being experienced by staff and students at Mountshannon National School, County Clare; and the proposals, if any, he has for this very disadvantaged school to be completed in 1997-98. I am aware of the need to improve the accommodation at Mountshannon National School, County Clare.

An architect from my Department visited the school recently and his report is currently under consideration. My Department will be in contact with the school shortly to advance the project.
