Ceist:

25 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the urgent need for the upgrading and provision of a proper sewerage facility at Thomastown in County Kilkenny where all developments have had to cease due to the inadequacy of the existing system; and if he will have immediate arrangements made with Kilkenny County Council to have this particular system upgraded. A brief for this scheme has been submitted to my Department, but given the high level of existing commitments under the water and sewerage investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve it.
