Vol. 481 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

92 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a 1996 ewe premium payment will reissue to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in a revised name in view of the fact that the delay is causing financial hardship. [16069/97]

An application under the 1996 ewe premium and sheep headage schemes was submitted by the mother of the person named who was the registered herdowner at that time and all payments due under this application were issued in her name in three instalments in July 1996, November 1996 and February 1997.

The cheque for the February 1997 instalment was returned as the applicant was deceased at the time. On receipt of probate a fresh cheque was issued on 30 September to the solicitor for the family in the name of the representatives of the deceased.

John Ellis

Ceist:

93 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will have arrangements made to pay a REP scheme payment to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo. [16084/97]

The applicant concerned was selected for a compliance inspection, as a result of which a number of deficiencies were identified in his agri-environmental plan. He has been requested to submit an amended plan, and when that has been received, the application will be processed further.
