130 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the current position regarding the provision of a sewerage scheme for Crossmolina, County Mayo. [18432/97]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 123 and 130 together.

The Crossmolina sewerage scheme is included in my Department's 1997 water and sewerage investment programme to be advanced through planning. The preliminary report was approved on 27 May last and Mayo County Council is preparing contract documents for the project at present.

The current position in relation to the planning status of schemes which have been submitted to my Department is set out in the following table. Having regard to the existing high level of commitments under the water and sewerage investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to advance these schemes.
