I move:
(1) That, in respect of the First Report of the Standing sub-Committee on Dáil Reform on Establishment of Committees in the 28th Dáil (T. 295) and with effect from 13 November 1997
(a) the motions setting out Orders of Reference of Joint Committees set out in Appendix 1 to the Report are hereby agreed to;
(b) the amendments and additions to the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business set out in Appendix 2 to the Report are hereby agreed to; and
(2) that a Message be sent to Seanad Éireann requesting
(a) its concurrence to the motions set out in Appendix 1 to the Report; and
(b) that consequential amendments to the Standing Orders of Seanad Éireann relative to Public Business be made on foot of the motions set out in Appendix 2 to the Report."
