Vol. 485 No. 3

Written Answers. - Military Hospital.

Ivor Callely

Ceist:

60 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Defence the current bed occupancy of St. Bricin's hospital, Dublin 7; the likely usage of part of the hospital for long stay care and other developments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23024/97]

St. Bricins hospital continues to be required and used by the Defence Forces. In the new organisation of the Defence Forces it will become the sole military hospital. The average bed occupancy varies between 20 and 40 patients. It is neither equipped nor staffed to provide services other than those which it provides at present.
