Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Tony Gregory

Ceist:

304 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if his Department has received a grant application from a club (details supplied) in Dublin 7 towards the cost of a new gym; and if he will outline his views on this application. [3260/98]

The club applied for a grant under the sports capital programme in November 1997. No decisions have yet been made on when moneys will be allocated under the programme in 1998.

Bernard Allen

Ceist:

305 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation when a grant will be paid to a club (details supplied) in Cork; and the reason the grant has not been paid to date. [3261/98]

A grant of £3,000 was allocated to the club in July 1997 under the sports capital programme. In line with standard procedures, payment of the grant is subject to the club providing specific documentation and information confirming that the development carried out complies with the terms and conditions of the programme. When these details are submitted and found to be in order, payment will be made.
