155 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the timescale for the introduction of the greyhound industry amendment Bill to provide for restructuring and development of the greyhound industry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3020/98]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 97 of 3 December 1997. While progress has been made, the legal issues have not yet been fully clarified. The recently published Government legislation programme anticipates publication of the Bill in late 1998.
