Vol. 487 No. 2

Written Answers. - Water Supplies.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

133 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the serious situation regarding the lack of domestic water supply at a school (details supplied) in County Kildare; whether he will take action to resolve this matter which may affect the health of the children attending the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3617/98]

My Department's attention has been drawn to the water supply problems experienced at the school to which the Deputy refers. The problem is primarily one for the local authority.

Pending resolution of the difficulty my Department has suggested to the school manager that the school could use its devolved grant to alleviate its water supply difficulties in the short-term.
