130 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the decision, if any, received from the European Commission on the State aid aspect of the proposal for a natural gas trunk line from Dublin to Galway and south to Limerick, in view of the fact that additional information was supplied to the Commission; and if she will make a statement on the matter. In response to further requests from the European Commission my Department furnished additional information to the Commission on 23 January and 20 February 1998. The Commission has advised that they are actively considering the matter and that a decision will be conveyed to me as soon as possible.
