The following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 were received by the Ceann Comhairle: (1) Deputy Ring — the need to appoint remedial teachers to schools in County Mayo, considering that 32 schools are currently without this service; (2) Deputy Broughan — the necessity to implement the Road Traffic Act, 1994, and adopt other measures to end the dangerous crime of joyriding in north Dublin; (3) Deputy Neville — the need to appoint a remedial teacher to Croagh, Kilfinny, Kilcolman, Coolcappa and Cappagh national schools.
The matters raised by Deputies Broughan, Ring and Neville have been selected for discussion.
