Vol. 488 No. 6

Ceisteanna — Questions.

(Mayo): On a point of order, I seek an assurance that we will not have a repeat of what happened on the last occasion there were questions to the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform and we dealt with only four questions because of the long-winded replies from the Minister. The replies should be kept as concise as possible.

It is somewhat like a horse and carriage, if the questions are long-winded the replies must inevitably be long-winded. There is little I can do about that. If the Deputy keeps his questions concise and asks one question at a time I will reciprocate.

The Chair will indicate when five minutes has elapsed on each question. That will be an indication to the participants.
