Cork Corporation's proposal to demolish the three northern blocks of flats in Blackpool and provide new replacement housing was approved on 7 November 1997. It is now a matter for the corporation to develop its proposals for the area. I understand that tenders will shortly be invited for the demolition of the blocks.
