270 Mr. Kelleher asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will give details regarding a recent announcement he made in relation to the provision of funds and a site for a school (details supplied) in County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7897/98]

I have decided to make funding available for the construction of a new school on the site purchased by my Department for the school referred to by the Deputy. Tenders will be invited shortly for the project.
