143 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the proposals, if any, he has to reintroduce a farm yard pollution grant or other funding to assist farmers in dealing with pollution; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10613/98]

There are no funds available to reopen the control of farm pollution scheme at this stage.

The position on overall funding under the Structural Funds is being kept under constant review to see if savings are arising in any area which would enable the reintroduction of a modified scheme.
