157 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Finance if he will give a breakdown of total new vehicle registrations for private and commercial vehicles for the first quarter of 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10466/98]
I am informed by the Office of the Revenue Commissioners that 56,469 new private vehicles, category A, were registered during the first quarter of 1998. During the same period, 12,894 new commercial vehicles, categories B, C and D, and 1,130 new motorbikes were also registered.
