253 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the contact person in her Department dealing with the Freedom of Information Act, 1997; the range of documents available for perusal under this Act; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10642/98]
As required under the Freedom of Information Act, my Department has published a reference book under section 15 of that Act which details the functions and records of my Department and also a reference book under section 16 of the Act which details the rules and practices of my Department. The section 15 reference book indicates the range of documents within my Department to which access may be sought under the Freedom of Information Act.
Both publications are available free of charge to members of the public from my Department's offices, and also from other sources such as public libraries and citizens advice bureaus. The contact person in my Department is Cian Ó Lionáin, the Freedom of Information Request Manager.
