Vol. 490 No. 5

Written Answers. - Architectural Heritage.

Donal Carey

Ceist:

259 Mr. D. Carey asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if her attention has been drawn to the condition of the Gazebo on Cullane Hill overlooking Cullane Lake, Kilkishen, County Clare which was built by honest Tom Steele in the early 19th century; and the plans, if any, to have it restored. [10791/98]

The Gazebo on Cullane Hill is not a national monument in State care and consequently my Department would not be in a position to restore it. I am, however, continuing to examine the position as to other options that may be possible.
