313 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will sanction the provision of a PE hall for St. Mary's Holy Faith secondary school, Killester, Dublin 5; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10661/98]
An application for the provision of a PE hall at St. Mary's Holy Faith secondary school, Killester, has recently been received in my Department. The question of providing physical education facilities at this school can only be considered in the context of the capital available for post-primary building purposes generally. Because of the huge demand for classroom accommodation in schools throughout the country, I am not in a position at this stage to state when physical education facilities will be provided in this particular case. However, I can assure the Deputy that this application will be examined in light of available resources and competing priorities.
