Vol. 491 No. 3

Written Answers. - Tax Refunds.

Michael Moynihan

Ceist:

262 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Finance when overpaid tax for the year 1997-98 will be repaid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork in view of the fact she finished work in May 1997 and applied then but she has received nothing since. [12290/98]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no record of having received an application for a tax repayment from the taxpayer. If the taxpayer considers that she is entitled to a repayment, she should apply to the inspector on form P50 which is available from any tax office. When the inspector receives the application it will be processed without delay.
