271 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for surgery to the University College Hospital, Galway, in view of the fact that the Western Health Board has not yet issued a reply to the previous question placed. [11693/98]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Mayo in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. I understand that the chief executive officer of the board has replied directly to the Deputy regarding the Dáil question of 21 April 1998.
