150 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the negotiations, if any, that have taken place in recent times with the owners of premises or sites in Leixlip, County Kildare, in regard to the acquisition of facilities for a new Garda station; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As indicated in my reply to the Deputy's question of 2 April 1998, the Commissioners of Public Works have been exploring the possibility of providing a new Garda station in Leixlip by means of a joint development. An outline proposal has recently been furnished to the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform for consideration.
