Ceist:

124 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the names and professions of members of the interdepartmental working group on architecture established by her; and when she will have the working group's report. [14621/98]

The names and occupations of the members of the interdepartmental working group on advancing the Government's policy objectives on architecture, which I established in May 1998, are as follows:

The working group will identify an initial set of key issues to be addressed and will establish specialist task groups bringing together other key partners in each of the relevant areas identified. It is expected that the working group will submit an annual progress report to me as Minister. I expect to receive the working group's first progress report in mid-1999.

125 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the names and professions of the members of the working group on the establishment of an academy on the performing arts; and when she will have the working party report on the matter. [14622/98]

As indicated in the joint press release dated 7 March 1998 from my colleague, the Minister for Education and Science, Deputy Martin, and myself, the members of the working group are: Mr. Noel Lindsay, former chairman of the Higher Education Authority who will chair the working group; Ms Eleanor Ní Bhriain, principal officer, Department of Education and Science; Mr. Oliver Hynes, inspector, Department of Education and Science; Mr. Chris Flynn, principal officer, Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands; Mr. Donogh Morgan, principal officer, Department of The Taoiseach; Mr. Eugene O'Sullivan, principal officer, Department of Finance; Mr. John Hayden, chief executive/secretary, Higher Education Authority; Ms June Thompson, principal officer, Office of Public Works; Mr. Klaus Unger, assistant principal architect, Office of Public Works; and Ms Patricia Quinn, director of the Arts Council.

The working group has been asked to report back to the Minister for Education and Science and myself at an early date.
