35 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation whether his attention has been drawn to those elements of the Food and Environment Protection Act in the United Kingdom which require golf clubs in the interests of the health of their users and visitors to undergo an assessment process in relation to the utilisation of substances hazardous to health and to prepare safety data sheets; his views on whether users of golf courses in this jurisdiction should be similarly protected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 46 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation whether his attention has been drawn to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations which apply in the United Kingdom and in other jurisdictions which have the effect of limiting the variety of chemicals that golf clubs can utilise in their grounds maintenance programmes; whether his Department has had advice on the desirability, in the interest of public health, of introducing these regulations here; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
