127 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the ewe premium application for a person (details supplied) in County Fermanagh under the 1996 scheme will be approved at an early date and the relevant payments issued; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16661/98]

The flock owner lodged an appeal concerning his 1996 ewe premium application. The appeal was examined by the appeals unit and the flock owner was notified on 30 December 1996 that his appeal was unsuccessful.
