Charles Flanagan

Ceist:

152 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Health and Children when an appointment for a cataract operation will be arranged for a person (details supplied) in County Offaly whose condition is deteriorating. [16603/98]

The provision of medical treatment in this case is the responsibility of the hospital concerned. I have asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

153 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Health and Children when an appropriate course of physiotherapy and a meeting with a dietician will be arranged for a person (details supplied) in County Offaly who has been diagnosed as a diabetic. [16604/98]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Offaly is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Midland Health Board to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

154 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called for a hip replacement operation in the General Hospital, Sligo. [16605/98]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board in the first instance.
