Vol. 493 No. 5

Written Answers. - Integrated Area Plans.

Jimmy Deenihan

Ceist:

171 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if the expert advisory panel which he established in 1997 to assess integrated area plans for the designation of areas for tax incentives has reported to him with its recommendations; and, if not, when it is expected to do so. [16649/98]

One of the roles of the expert advisory panel which l established in October 1997 in relation to the new urban renewal scheme is as to assess completed integrated area plans and assist in the making of recommendations by the Minister in relation to the proposals for designation which are contained in those plans.

These plans are currently being examined by the expert advisory panel and I am not in a position to indicate when they will report.
